Jessie Pearl Lund, 75, died Friday, June 23, 1989 following surgery at St.Joseph's Community Hospital in New Hampton, Iowa. Funeral services were held Monday, June 26, 1989 at 1:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Crane Creek, with the Rev. richard Zellmer officiating. Burial was in the Crane Creek Cemetery. Conway Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were grandson Bruce Rasmussen, nephews John and Charles Tiedemann and Virgal Scholl, Don Knutson and Bruce Flatjord.

Jessie was born June 17, 1914 near the town of Casey in Adair County to George and Flossie (Bolz) Tomlinson. She graduated from the Casey High School. She married Ellis Rasmussen. They resided in the Casey area but were later divorced. On April 8, 1969 she married Mathias A. Lund in Preston, Minnesota. They resided in the New Hampton and Jerico areas.

She was preceded in death by a son in infancy; two sisters, Rosella Brockman and Frances Jones and a brother, George Tomlinson.

Surviving are her husband Mathias; two sons, Ted Rasmussen of Wheaton, Illinois and Estel Rasmussen of St.Joseph, Missouri; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three sisters, her twin Bessie Tiedemann of Indianola, Iowa, Gertrude Dafford of Atlantic, Iowa, and Dorine Anderson of Perry, Iowa; a brother Bill Tomlinson of Adel and a step-daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Shirley) Manning of Lansing, Iowa.
