Rosemary Margaret Huffman,age 85, of New Hampton died Wednesday June 16, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in New Hampton. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, June 21 at Holy Family Parish - St.Joseph Center with Rev. Phil Recker officiating. Burial was in the Calvary Cemetery, New Hampton with Paul and Angelica Huffman, Bradley Huffman, Shawn and Eileen Huffman, Jenny and Brian Voves, Adam and LeNae Schwickerath, Nathan and Jami Schwickerath, Monica Recker, Amanda and Brad Trask and Alexandra Huffman as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Annaruth and Garry Snyder, Gary and Sue Bouska, Sherry and Mikey Blazek, Bill Brown, Shirley Pitz, Darwin Hovey, Freddie Eskildsen, Karen and Dennis Lamourex, and Cory and Carla Pester, as well as Rosemary's "Birthday Club" and "Pool League".

Rosemary Margaret Huffman was born June 21, 1924 in Lansing, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Rose (Horne) Lucey. She attended grade school at Rossville and graduated in 1942 from the Waukon, Iowa High School. On June 26, 1946, at St.Joseph Cathedral in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, Rosemary was united in marriage to Raymond Huffman. To this union six children were born.

The couple lived on a farm near Rossville and moved to New Hampton in 1954. Rosemary worked for several area businesses, including Ben Franklin, the Crystal Grill, and retiring from J.C.Penney after 20 years. The couple, along with Ray and Lila Klenske, owned the Fireman's Theater for over ten years. Raymond died December 4, 1994 at the age of 71.

Rosemary was a member of Holy Family Parish and Rosary Society, pool and bowling leagues, and the Legion Auxiliary, where she served as president. Survivors include four sons, Mark (Anne) Huffman of Atlanta, GA, Mike (Donna) Huffman of Waterloo, Dan (Sue) Huffman and John Huffman, all of New Hampton; one daughter, Pat (Dennis) Ruffridge of Cresco; one son-in-law, Dick Recker of New Hampton; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Tom (Nancy) Lucey of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and one sister, JoAnn Heminghous of Austin, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond; one daughter, Peg Recker, February 14, 1999; one son-in-law, Dan Schwickerath; and three brothers, Francis, Bill, and Jack Lucey.
