Lillian Edna (Nordman) Friedly 89, formerly of Nashua, Iowa, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Trail Lakes Nursing Center in Ft. Worth, TX.

Memorial sevices will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at St. John Lutheran Church in Nashua with Pastor Thomas Hagen officiating.

Friends and family are invited to a time of fellowship and lunch in the church social center following committal services at Oak Hill Cemetery in Nashua

Lillian Edna (Nordman) Friedly was born November 17, 1919 in Rochester, MN, the daughter of Harry and Frances Eileen (Swift) Adams. Lillian attended Bradford Country School and graduated from Nashua High School in 1937. She was united in marriage to Leo William Nordman on August 30, 1937. To this union four daughters were born. They made their home in Nashua until Leo’s death on June 13, 1968. Lillian moved to Kansas and on December 16, 1969 she was married to Clinton Friedly. They lived in Kansas and Arkansas. Following Clintons death on February 15, 1994 Lillian moved back to Iowa. She moved to Texas in 2004.

Lillian was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Nashua. She loved doing crafts of all sorts. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, doll making and flowers.

She is survived by her four daughters, Nancy (Donald) Scharnhorst of Nashua, Linda (Joe) Flerlage of Hardy, Ark, Carla Greenlee of Bristow and Kiana (Bill) Byrnes of Granbury, TX; 15 grandchildren, Rebecca (Louis) Fuhringer, Lorinda (David) Groe, Robin (Dean) Meinders and Jolene (Dan) Fehr; Douglas (Nancy) Reuscher, Denice (Robert) Harrington, Steven (Janell) Reuscher, Scott (Coleicia) Reuscher and David (Tara) Reuscher; Tamara (Brett) Ackerson and Angela (Brett) Kueker; Michelle (Doug) Hartman, Jamie (Jasmine) Orosz, Michael (Melissa) Orosz and Cyndi Kennimer; 32 (soon to be 33) great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Florence Fick of Salina, KS and Gail Nordman of Charles City.

Lillian was preceded in death by her husbands; her parents; two brothers, Harry Adams, Jr. and Carl Adams; and a great-grandson, Dillon Reuscher.
