Mrs. William Elliott Dead.

The following notice of the death of a former Nashua woman is taken from a Hammond, Ind., paper:
Mrs. William Elliott passed away suddenly at her home in Hammond, Ind., on January 29, 1925. Her death came as a great shock to her family, friends and the community.

Mrs. Elliott lived with her family in Nashua, Iowa for a number of years. Last February the family moved to Hammond. She was a faithful wife and loving mother, admired by all who knew her for her kindly disposition. Besides the husband she leaves to mourn eleven children, two of whom are married, one living in New Hampton, Iowa, and the other living in Hammond, also two grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters. The children are: James, William Jr., Genevieve, Raymond, Florence, Sammie, Harold, Irene, Margaret, Leonard and Mrs. Pearl Haugh.
Mrs. Elliott was born in Dalton, Ill.

She was 47 years, 4 months and 2 days old.

She bade no one a last farewell.
She said good bye to none.
Her lonely heart had ceased to beat
Before we knew she had gone.
Her cheerful and kindly ways
Were pleasant to recall
She had a kindly word for all.
The blow was hard, the shock severe,
We little thought her end was near.
The loss of one so good and dear
Makes our burden hard to bear.
Sadly missed by those who loved her,
Those who think of her today
Are those who love her best.
