He Was 72 Years of Age,
Survived By Widow and
Seven Children.
Funeral Took Place Friday.

Fredericksburg - Mr Herman Kammeyer quietly passed from the scenes of earth last Wednesday morning, September 3, 1924, at 12:45 at the family residence in this city.

Mr Kammeyer was ill for many months with cancer of the stomach and while his passing was but a question of time, it came as a great shock to the community.

He was born in Germany about 72 years ago and emigrated to this country at an early age, locating on a farm in the vicinity of Fredericksburg. Later on he built a nice home in the Burg where he and his faithful helpmate have since resided.

He is survived by his widow and seven children. Charles, Ernest, and John of Fredericksburg and Edward of New Hampton, Mrs Emma Laabs of Richfield, Iowa, Mrs Minnie Aschbrenner and Mrs Clara Schulz of this city.

Deceased was a member of the German Lutheran church and a man of strong convictions. He was quick to discern the weakness and faults of others but was ready to stand by and help them in their trials. He was a splendid citizen, a good neighbor and in the home he was the bulwark of faithfulness and love to his family. He will be greatly missed by all.

The funeral was held last Friday afternoon at the German Lutheran church, Rev. O.C. Durr, the pastor, officiating. Interment was made in Rose Hill Cemetery.

The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the sorrowing family.
