MRS. LEO NOSBISCH DIED

Mabel Nosbisch

Mabel Nosbisch, 81, of New Hampton, died Sat., Nov. 16, 2002, at Mercy Medical Center in New Hampton, of natural causes.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Parish-St. Mary's Center, New Hampton, with Rev. Carl Schmitt celebrating the mass. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, New Hampton, with Tim Nosbisch, Don Nosbisch, Lynn Nosbisch, Chuck Boyle, Don Kruse, and Rick Monson as pall bearers.

Mabel was born July 15, 1921, in rural Houston County, Minn., near Eitzen, the daughter of Fred and Freda (Gade) Wiemerslage. She attended rural country schools just across the Iowa border in Allamakee County.

On Aug. 19, 1957, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Caledonia, Minn., she married Leo Nosbisch of North Washington. The couple made New Hampton their home from the time of their marriage. Mabel was a homemaker, staying home to raise their only son, Dennis. She especially enjoyed the outdoors with her gardens, flowers, and time fishing. Leo died July 17, 1972, two weeks after an auto accident.

Mabel became a resident of the New Hampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in October of 1994. Her welcoming smile to every visitor at the nursing home will be greatly missed. Mabel was a member of Holy Family Parish and Rosary Society.

She is survived by her one son; Dennis (Dail) Nosbisch of New Hampton; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, John (Florence) Nosbisch of New Hampton; two sisters- in-law, Anna Nosbisch of New Hampton and Viola Wiemerslage of New Albin; and any nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leo; three brothers, Roy, Norman, and Raymond Wiemerslage; four sisters, Irma Weing, Ruby Monson, Edna Wiemerslage, and Lillian Hansmier.
