Funeral at 2 today

Mrs. Elizabeth Peterson, a highly respected resident of this community for more than 45 years, passed away Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. O.D. Yetter and husband, after an illness of considerable duration, death being due to the infirmities of age. During the past few years, she had made her home with her daughter and husband, where she had every care possible from a devoted daughter and son-in-law.

Elizabeth Mary Peterson was born March 2, 1855, the daughter of Richard and Eliza Bradley, pioneer homesteaders in Minnesota, her parents coming to Minnesota from London, England. Her girlhood days were spent in the pioneer woods country in Minnesota, and she received her education and religious training from her parents, who were devout Christians.

She came to Iowa with her brother-in-law, Henry Page and wife in 1875, and in 1879 she was married to Charley Joseph Seifert at Nashua, who passed away June 16, 1900. To this union two children were born, Francis P. Yetter of Nashua, and Karl Richard Seifert of Staples, Minn. In 1907 she was married to Abel N. Peterson in Nashua, who passed away in 1910. Mrs. Peterson was the last of a family of 12 children by the original marriage of her mother. She is survived by a half-sister, Mrs. Rolla Mills (?) of Plainview, Minn. There is also a half-brother, now deceased.

Funeral services will be held at the Congregational Church, Wednesday at 2 P.M. in charge of Revs. Wm. Kent and H.J. Fairlie, and interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Herman Taylor, E.G. Meier, E.S. Taylor, Chas. Ligget, A.C. Davidson and G.E. Ellison.
