The Death of Mrs. A. Bechtel occurred Thursday morning, at 8:45 at home of her Daughter, Mrs. A. P. Johnson.

Mrs. Bechtel was born in Germany, in the famous kingdom of Wurtemberg, in the year 1829, March 18. Her maiden name was Fredericka Stecher. Moving from Germany to this country her parents settled near Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. She was joined in marriage to A. Bechtel at Pittsburg, August 15, 1852.

Mr. and Mrs. Bechtel moved to Iowa soon after they were married, and they have lived in this state ever since.They celebrated their golden wedding two years ago. The deceased leaves besides her husband, a sister, Mrs. M. Mohr of Dubuque, Two children, H. A. Bechtel, of Des Moines and Mrs. A. P. Johnson, of this city who mourn her departure.

The funeral will be held at the residence of Mrs. A. P. Johnson, Saturday at 2 P.M., and interment will be made in the Rose Hill cemetery.
