From New Hampton Tribune, Aug 14, 1915

The death of Mrs. Michael Zimmer occurred at the home of her sister, Mrs. John Zimmer, Monday evening at 7:15 o’clock.

Several weeks ago she was taken to Rochester for treatment for a tumor in the chest. She could get no relief and returned to New Hampton for special care under the direction of local physicians. Nothing could be done and the strength of her body gave away to the ravages of the disease. The end came quietly, Monday, after much pain and suffering and anguish for her children which she must soon leave motherless.

The deceased, Antoinette Boellershon, was born in Chickasaw County, August 18, 1871. She was married at North Washington, November 7th, 1889 to Michael Zimmer. They lived here one year and then moved to St. Ann. Neb., where they lived one year and then returned to this county. In 1902 they moved to Stickney, S. D. where she lived until coming here a few weeks ago.

Seven children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Zimmer, five of whom survive their mother. They are: Mrs. Clara Wagner of Corsica, S. D., and Louis, Leo, Bertha and Ella, at home. Besides her husband and children, she is survived by her father, Peter Boellershon, three sisters and one brother, Joe Boellershon of this city, Mrs. John Nuebel of Parkston, S. D., and Mrs. John Zimmer and Mrs. J. F. Wagner of New Hampton. Three grandchildren and forty-three nieces and nephews also survive her.

The funeral will be held Thursday morning at 9 o’clock from St. Mary’s Catholic church and will be conducted by Rev. B. H. Forkenbrock. Burial will be made in the parish cemetery.

Mrs Zimmer was a splendid wife and mother, and her death brings great sorrow to her family and relatives, to all of whom we extend our sympathy. Her suffering on earth has been much and may God give her soul that peace and comfort and rest in the hereafter that her tired body so much deserves.
