Double Accident.
A double tragedy fell upon the Ralph family, one of the pioneer Irish-American families of Chickasaw county. Glenn Ralph, the 13-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ralph, living fourteen miles northeast of New Hampton, broke his arm. When getting out of a buggy his foot caught in the reins, throwing him to the ground and in putting out his arm to save the fall it broke just below the elbow. This boy’s uncle, Thos. Ralph, a man of 40 years, was kicked by a horse and died almost instantly.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Oct. 5, 1863 and died Aug. 22, 1912. He is buried in the Calvary Cemetery in New Hampton.
