Many hearts in our community were saddened when the news reached here of the sudden death of Mrs. Dale Hall in Waterloo, Friday morning, May 3.
Helen Stevenson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. L. Stevenson, was born at Waverly, Iowa, November 3, 1906. Here she remained with her parents until about eight years ago when they came to Nashua to make their home.
She was a regular attendant of the Nashua schools, and graduated with the class of 1926, and six of the young men of the class acted as pall bearers at the funeral
In early childhood she received the holy baptism in the Lutheran church, and as she grew into young womanhood she developed many traits of character which endeared her to the hearts of relatives and friends.
On Nov 25, 1926, she was united in marriage with Dale Hall of Nashua, the ceremony being performed at New Hampton.
Besides the young husband, who will miss her most keenly she leaves to mourn their loss, her parents, and many relatives and friends.
The funeral services weer{sic} held at the home of her parents in Nashua, Monday, May 6, Rev. J. L. McCorison officiating, and the body laid to rest in Oak Hill cemetery.Transcriber’s Note: Her husband was John Dale Hall.
