A Saint Called Home.
Rev. Harvey Adams, D. D., died at New Hampton last week. He was one of the Iowa Band that came to this state from Andover Seminary in 1843, and has been an Iowa Congregational pastor in all the intervening years, until the decrepitude of age settled upon him. There are now living but three of this famous band of eleven devoted ministers. They are Rev. Ephriam Adams, of Waterloo, ex-pastor of the Decorah church, Dr. William Salter of Burlington and Dr. A. B. Robbins of Muscatine.Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Jan. 16, 1809 and died Sept. 23, 1896. He is buried in the New Hampton Cemetery.
