A Fatal Mistake.
Fredericksburg, Town, Nov. 12.— August Drappe, 16 years of age, son of Fred Drappe a farmer living about four miles northwest from here, feeling indisposed, stepped Into the pantry and taking down a bottle supposed to contain the remedy sought, drank a quantity of aconite, causing death in about two hours, during which time he was able to tell his mother of the terrible mistake he had made. His father was absent from home, and being so far from town, it was impossible to procure assistance in time to save the young man's life.
