Sad End of an Old Man's Life.
New Hampton Gazette—E. Oleson, an old man who lived alone nine or ten miles northeast of Lawler in Utica township, died at his home last Saturday night. His death occurred under somewhat peculiar circumstances. It seems that he was found lying in the road between Lawler and his home some time during the day on Friday, by a passer-by who offered to assist him, but was asked by Mr. Oleson to go away and leave him alone as he wanted to sleep. In the evening he was taken to his home by a neighbor and put to bed. He was apparently unconscious and did not regain his senses. Coroner Johnston was called and held an inquest over the body, but the verdict is not yet on file at the court house.
