Mrs. Elizabeth Grawe, mother of Jos. Grawe, of the Waverly Independent, died at her home in that city, on the 18th inst., in her 82d year. Her death resulted from a nervous shock consequent upon an accident in which her clothes caught fire. Deceased was born in Germany, came to this country in 1848, and had lived in Iowa since 1865. The tribute to her memory by her editor-son is tenderly reverent.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows she is buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Nashua and was born Aug. 29, 1819 and died Nov. 18, 1900.
