Drowned in a Tank.
The Lawler Dispatch last week said:
The two-year-old daughter of Mrs. William Goss, of Utica, fell into a milk tank last Monday afternoon and although only in the water about five minutes, all efforts to resuscitate her proved futile. Her little four-year-old sister was the first to discover the little one, who fell head foremost into the tank, with scarcely more than her feet out of water, and after pulling her out called for help, but it came too late.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Margretta who is buried in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Lawler. She was born in 1898 and died July 9, 1900.
