A Chickasaw Pioneer Dies
John Nicholas, who came to Chickasaw county in 1857, and was a pioneer merchant at or near Lawler, died at his home in that town on the 11th inst. He was of Irish parentage but born in Glasgow, Scotland, Feb. 3, 1832. During the boom times of Conover he moved thither, built the first hotel, and remained there for four years.
