George Underwood, a prominent citizen of New Hampton, and one of the G. A. R., dropped dead Sunday evening while attending services at the Baptist church. The Rev. Mr. Anderson had preached a memorial sermon on the death of Miss Ada Blaska. Mr. Underwood had been deeply affected and his emotion evidently brought on heart disease which resulted fatally.

Transcriber’s Note: Find-a-Grave shows he is buried in New Hampton Cemetery. He was born December 22, 1841 and died November 19, 1905.
