Died.

CORNELL--At her home in Plano, California, Thursday, November 1, 1900, Mrs. Heiro Cornell, of consumption, aged 33 years.

Laura Belle Minkler was born in West Chazy, N. Y.; in April, 1867 removed with her parents when an infant four weeks old to New Hampton; December 25, 1887, she was married to Heiro Cornell; five children were born to them, four of whom survive her, Leon, a child of five having met death by being bitten by a rattle snake last July. Though consumption was the disease that robbed this young wife and mother of health yet the immediate cause of death is traced to this sad death in her family.

Realizing that naught but a change of climate would stay the rapid progress of this fatal disease she removed with her family to California. There was a noticeable improvement and hope entertained by her near and dear ones that this much needed and beloved mother would be spared to her little brood. But the hand of fate fell upon her,and the heart that would not have flinched had death stood at her own was bedside, too weak to bear the blow of this tragic death of her son. Side by aide they are at rest, a rest that is solacing to the weary and afflicted.

Consumption . with seeming relentless ardor, has plucked this family early, Mrs. Cornell being the seventh child to fall from the family stock because of it. The bereft parents certainly have drank the cup of sorrow to its dregs.
