It is our sad duty this week to chronicle the death of Mrs. Albert Tietjen who fell peacefully to sleep at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. Tietjen, at Alta Vista, Friday, March 22, aged 54 years.
A brief funeral service was held in Alta Vista Saturday morning and the remains taken to Belvena on the noon train and laid to rest by the side of her husband and children who had "gone before."
The remains were accompanied by her sons, John of Washington township, Dick of Alta Vista and daughter, Mrs. A. Tietjen; it was a sad journey to their old home and many hearts go out in sympathy.
Mrs. Tietjen was a noble Christian woman of a lovable disposition, was a kind neighbor and true friend, who in life we loved and revere.
How well she fulfilled a mother's obligation is written in the hearts of loving children and grand children who rise up and call her blessed.
We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the 'bereaved children in the loom of earth'', best friend, a mother.
