Page 8 column 6BURZEE — In New Hampton, Iowa, Oct. 31st, 1887, of typhoid fever, Anna C. Burzee, in the 18th year of her age.
Anna was the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph S. Barzee She passed her childhood days in Bethel township, Fayette county, until March, 1887, when she removed with her parents to New Hampton. But that dread disease set its strongest hold upon her and no medical aid could change its cruel coarse. She leaves a saddened home and many sorrowing friends and school mates to mourn her departure.

To IDA: —
Weep not my friend though Anna's gone;
'Twere better thus in early bloom
Than three score years to suffer on
In this vile world of woe and sin.'Tis so decreed, we all must die
And lay our earthly armor by;
Oh let us then while here we live
Prepare to meet our friends above.We sadly feel 'tis hard to put
With friends we love with all our heart;
But then we'll hope to meet above
Where all is joy and peace and love.UNCLE H. BROCKWAY
