Obituary for Thomas R. Frost

Thomas R. Frost, age 48 of Ionia, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.

Thomas Ray Frost was born June 17, 1967 to James and Shirley (Roberts) Frost in Waterloo, Iowa. He attended and graduated from East High School in Waterloo. After graduation Tom began his life long career as a welder and held various positions with companies spanning the entire Midwest before moving to Ionia and starting his own business, Weld Wright Welding “WWW”. Tom enjoyed fishing, playing Yatzee and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Barb Lewis of Ionia; his children, Dylan and Haley Frost of Fort Dodge, Iowa, and Monica Rittenbury of Ionia; one grandchild with one on the way; his brother, Jamie Frost of Waterloo; his sisters, Karla Platt and Sharon Lee, both of Waterloo; three uncles, Gerry Frost of Waterloo, Jerry Frost of Valley Springs, Calif., and Ron Frost of New Hartford, Iowa; one aunt, Betsy Lester of Valley Springs, Calif., and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Shirley Frost.
