Funeral services for Lillian Kalkbrenner of New Hampton were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 20 at Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home in New Hampton with Pastor Marshall Monthei of the United Methodist Church officiating.
Interment was in the New Hampton City Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Ed Severson, Arlin Severson, Jim Wilson, Jim Arjes, Randy Fike, and Wayne Moetsch.
Lillian, 85, died Monday, November 15, 2004 at the New Hampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Lillian A. Kalkbrenner was born December 12, 1918 in Richland Township, rural Chickasaw County, the daughter of Michael and Mary (Rehorst) Peters. She attended rural country schools and the New Hampton Community School.
On December 15, 1942, she married Laurence Kalkbrenner. They lived their entire lives in New Hampton. She worked as a dietician for the former St. Joseph Community Hospital in New Hampton for 17 years. Laurence died on January 7, 1980. She lived in her home until May of this year when she became a resident at the New Hampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Lillian was preceded in death by her husband Laurence; her parents; one sister: Mabel Wilson; and six brothers: George, Glenn, Jack, Clinton, Clyde, and Vincent.
