Private family funeral services for David "Dave" Pimlott of St. Lucas formerly of Nashua were held on Thursday, November 4 at the Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home in Nashua.

David, 60, died Sunday, October 31, 2004 suddenly at his home in St. Lucas.

David Lawrence Pimlott was born April 10, 1944 in Grand Valley, CO, the son of Rev. George and Alberta (Young) Pimlott. He graduated from Nashua High School in 1962.

On July 7, 1963 he married Patsy Maloy in Nashua. He received a B.A. degree from State College of Iowa in Cedar Falls and an M.A. degree from the University of Northern Iowa.

Dave taught for the Davenport Community School District for seven years before going into the plumbing and heating business. Dave held the Masters and Journeyman Plumbing and HVAC License. He worked as Mechanical Engineer at Clinton Electric in Clinton and Plant Serves Inc. in Mt. Joy before accepting a teaching position in Plumbing and HVAC at Northeast Iowa Community College in Calmar (1991-2002) after which he retired.

While they lived in Eldridge, Dave was active with the Eldridge Jaycees and served on the Eldridge Park Board. He was a member of the Eldridge United Methodist Church and chaired the Pastor Parish Committee. Dave was actively involved with the beginnings of the apprenticeship program for "ABC" Associated Building Contractors. He was a member of the Professional Educators of Iowa. He had been appointed to an interim position on the St. Lucas City Council.

Dave enjoyed his retirement taking cruises with his family.

He is survived by his wife Patsy of St. Lucas; one son: Kenneth of Nashua; one daughter: Carol Hamann of Eldridge; three grandchilddren; his parents: Rev. George and Alberta Pimlott of Hiawatha; three brothers: Edwin of Ames, James of Cedar Rapids, and Walter of Andover, MN.

David was preceded in death by an infant son, Thomas.
