Obituary for Keith Early Glenn--
Keith Early Glenn, age 79, of Fredericksburg, Iowa, died Monday, June 16, 2014, at his home.
A Memorial service will be held 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2014, at the United Methodist Church in Fredericksburg, Iowa, with Pastor Mike Christie presiding. Friends may greet the family beginning at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2014, at the church.
A private family interment will take place at the New Sweden Lutheran Cemetery in rural Lockridge, Iowa, at a later date.
Funeral arrangements are with Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home in Fredericksburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials maybe made to Palmer Hospice or the United Methodist Church in Fredericksburg.
Keith Early Glenn was born March 27, 1935 in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, the son of Keith and Clara (Donald) Glenn. A native and life-long resident of Iowa, he graduated from Fairfield High School in 1953, and earned a degree in pharmacy from the University of Iowa in 1958. On March 11, 1956, he married the love of his life, Patricia Ann Nelson, at the Lockridge Lutheran Church in Lockridge, Iowa.
Keith served the Fairfield community as a pharmacist for over 40 years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Eagles Lodge, and Rotary Club. Keith was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church. He was a seven year member of the Iowa National Guard. He enjoyed playing golf and poker with his friends. After many years in Fairfield, Patti and Keith moved to Fredericksburg in 2008.
Survivors include his wife, Patti of Fredericksburg, Iowa; sister Connie Joy (Bill) of Perry, Iowa; three sons; Robert Keith Glenn of Fredericksburg, Iowa, Daniel Harold Glenn of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, and William David Glenn (Jill) of Fredericksburg, Iowa; and seven grandchildren; Mark Glenn, Scott Glenn, Claire Glenn, Thomas Glenn, Maya Marshall, Kael Glenn and Kyler Glenn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Keith and Clara Kiger and his stepfather Noble Kiger
