Obituary for Maude Leone Bartlett--

Maude Leone Bartlett age 99 of Yakima, Washington, formerly of Nashua, died Tuesday evening, October 9, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Health Care Center in Yakima.

Graveside Services will be held 2:00 Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Greenwood Cemetery at Nashua.

Friends may greet the family from noon until the time of the service (12:00 - 2:00 pm) at the Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home in Nashua.

Maude Leone Bartlett was born April 6, 1913, in rural Chickasaw County, Iowa, the daughter of Noble G. and Eva (Waterman) Fisher. She received her education in rural country school near Chickasaw and finalized her education in Nashua. On June 2, 1934, in Anamosa, Iowa, she married John Elmer Bartlett. To this union two sons were born. The couple lived near Nashua until moving to Washington State in 1960. Maude had worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in many area nursing homes in Washington. She loved to travel and spend part of her winters in Arizona.

Survivors include two sons, John (Arlene) Bartlett of Mattawa, Washington, Russell (Debra) Bartlett of Ocean Park, Washington; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John; four brothers, Howard Fisher, Kenneth Fisher, Lee Fisher and Russell Fisher; four sisters, Vivian Kimball, Hattie Schroeder, Mary Baldwin and Ella Cagley.
