Darlene was a compassionate and natural caregiver, working as a Nurse’s Aide through most of her working days. The couple moved to Nashua in 1961. She continued caring for others at the Fritze Nursing Home and Floyd County Hospital. Darlene was active in her community, serving as President and Vice President of the American Legion Auxiliaries. She was also a local Den Mother for Cub Scouts and a founding member of the Neighborhood Group program. She was a faithful member of St. John Lutheran Church in Nashua.
Darlene enjoyed many years of fishing and summertime vacations with her family at their cabin in Akeley, Minnesota. Her favorite pastime was creating beautiful crafts and cards which have been enjoyed by so many. She loved visiting with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
