Obituary for Levi Patrie

Levi Patrie, age 83, a life long New Hampton resident died Tuesday March 5, 2013, at the New Hampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday March 16, 2013 at the Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home in New Hampton with Pastor Kevin Frey officiating. Interment will be in the New Hampton City Cemetery with Ken Rasing, Rev. Kevin Frey, Pat Folkers, Doug Patrie, Rick Patrie and Pat Patrie as pallbearers. Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday MARCH 16, 2013.

Levi was born November 7, 1929, in New Hampton, Iowa the son of Joseph and Clara (Wilhelm) Patrie Sr. Levi was a longtime residence of the Heritage Residence, followed by many years at the New Hampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He had been employed at Comprehensive Systems in Charles City. Levi enjoyed his trips to Camp Courageous for many years with his brother Clinton. He was a life long member of Trinity Lutheran Church of New Hampton. Levi, made many friends living at the Heritage Residence and the Rehab Center.

Levi is survived by his sister-in-laws, Phyllis Patrie of New Hampton and Geneva Patrie of Charles City; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Mel, Clyde, Joe, Clinton and LaVern Patrie.
