Michael A. Albrecht, age 41, of Charles City, Iowa , formerly of New Hampton, Iowa, died Sunday July 25, 2010 at Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.

Michael Mike Alan Albrecht was born on October 13, 1968 to Dennis and Sandra (Nemmers) Albrecht in Charles City, Iowa. Mike graduated from New Hampton High School in 1987. He worked for Beatrice Cheese Factory in Fredericksburg, Iowa as a machine operator. Mike was united in marriage to Stacey Ungs in Fredericksburg and to this marriage two sons were born; Nathan and Dylan. Mike was employed as a welder by Featherlite Trailer Manufacturer in Nashua, Iowa for several years. He was then employed with Unverferth Manufacturing in Shell Rock, Iowa, and most recently GMT Manufacturing in Nashua.

Mike met Teffany Pattschull in 2003. The couple was united in marriage on May 19, 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada at Special Memory Chapel. Mike enjoyed going to casinos, deer hunting, playing pool, online poker, Hawkeye and Dallas Cowboy football, and spoiling his nieces, nephews, and granddaughter.

Mike is survived by his parents, Dennis and Sandra Albrecht of New Hampton; his wife, Teffany Albrecht of Charles City; two children; Nathan (Emily) Albrecht of New Hampton, and Dylan Albrecht of Ankeny, Iowa; one granddaughter, Kinsli Jo Albrecht of New Hampton; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ellen (Wayne) Zwart, and Steve (Teresa) Pattschull both of Nashua; one brother, John (Hope) Albrecht of Goose Creek, South Carolina; one sister, Denise (Matt) Brummond of Dike, Iowa; four nieces, Haley, Maddison, Elizabeth, and Morgan; two nephews, Nickolas, and Austin; one sister-in-law, Tina (Tim) McMurchy of Floyd, Iowa; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John Albrecht; his paternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Grace and Emil Lestikow; and his maternal grandparents, Lorrin and Elizabeth Nemmers.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Burial will be in New Hampton Cemetery at New Hampton.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 29, 2010 from 4:00-8:00pm at Conway-Kolbet Funeral Home in New Hampton. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30am on Friday, July 30, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church in New Hampton with Reverend Kevin Frey officiating.
