Francis “Fritz’ Rudolf Klobassa – April 6, 1924 – July 24, 2005

Elma – Francis “Fritz” Rudolf Klobassa, 81, of Elma, died at home Sunday, July 24.

He was born April 6, 1924 on a farm near Elma, son of Charles and Frances Mishak Klobassa. On May 8, 1945, he married Arlene Vokaty at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic church, Lourdes.
Mr. Klobassa granduated from Immaculate Conception High School, Elma, in 1942. He then farmed south of Elma.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Charlene (Larry) Meirick of Alta Vista; two sons, Jim (Bonnie) of Elma and Gary (Marilyn) of Alta Vista; seven grandchildren, a great-grandson and three step-grandchildren; and a sister, Georgine Sculley of Austin, Minnesota.

Preceded in death by and infant son, Joseph; a grandson; five brothers, Ralph, Lawrence, Charles, Vern and Lee, and two sisters, Goldie Thrune and Maxine Sculley.

Services 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Bernards Catholic Curch, with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery, both in Alta Vista. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Conway-Kolbet Funeral Home, Elma, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. Scripture service. Visitation also for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
