FREDERICKSBURG - Brian Kenneth Allen, 50, of rural New Hampton, died at home Tuesday, April 28, 2009.

He was born Jan. 22, 1959, in New Hampton, son of Darrell and Thelma Means Allen. He married Julie Brandenburg on Sept. 8, 1984, in Fredericksburg.

Mr. Allen graduated from New Hampton High School in 1977, then began a career as an over-the-road truck driver. He was a member of Fredericksburg United Methodist Church.

Survived by his wife; a son, Justin; his mother of New Hampton; three brothers, Gary (Barbara) of Boise, Idaho, Dean (Mona) of Red Bluff, Calif., and Darwin (Deb) of Ionia; and a sister, Karen (Don) Montgomery of Burlingame, Kan.

Preceded in death by his father.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, both in Fredericksburg. Public visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home, Fredericksburg, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
