NEW HAMPTON - William "Bill" Joseph Eischeid, 54, of New Hampton, died Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at home of an apparent heart attack.

He was born Feb. 14, 1955, in New Hampton, son of Ralph and Rosella Gebel Eischeid.

He was a graduate of New Hampton High School in 1973 and then worked at Sara Lee, New Hampton, until its closing. He then became employed by the Donaldson Co., Cresco, where he worked until the time of his death.

Survived by his mother, Rosella Eischeid of New Hampton; and a brother, Bob of New Hampton.

Preceded in death by his father.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Parish-St. Mary's Center, New Hampton, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Public visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home, New Hampton, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 6:30 p.m. Scripture service. Visitation also from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Bill became interested in baking and cooking while working at Sara Lee and did all the cooking at home. In his free time he enjoyed just taking off and traveling in his car or truck.

Also surviving are an aunt, Rita (Bob) Welter of Cedar Falls; an uncle, Virgil Gebel of Waterloo.
