Hold Last Rites for
Mrs. Almina Bruner

Funeral services for Mrs. Almina Bruner, 75, a former resident of Chickasaw County, who passed away Friday at Spooner, Wisconsin, were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Little Brown Church, with the Rev. F. L. Hascom officiating. Burial was in the Chickasaw Cemetery.

Almina Lucinda Bruner, daughter of Reuben and Emily Huffman, was born April 18, 1874, in Chickasaw County near Ionia. Later the family moved to Bassett where she lived until united in marriage to Samuel Crooks in July 1895. He passed away April 2, 1912. She was later married to John Bruner and they made their home at Spooner, Wisconsin, until her death.

At an early age she joined the Congregational Church.

Mrs. Bruner leaves to mourn her death: eight children, 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one sister and three brothers.

NOTE: She is buried in the Cedar View Cemetery in
Chickasaw County, Iowa. Also, the name on her tombstone (See Findagrave page) shows her using her first married name -- "Almina L. Crooks".
