Margaret R. Reihle, Age 93, of New Hampton, IA died on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center, New Hampton, IA.

Margaret Regina (Hackman) Reihle was born on May 3, 1915 to Joseph and Lena (Weber) Hackman in New Hampton, IA. She attended school in New Hampton and later in Winona, MN where her family moved. Margaret was united in marriage to Leo Reihle on January 19, 1937 at St. Joseph Church in Winona, MN. After their marriage they lived in Lawler where Leo co-owned the Lawler Hardware and they raised their family.

In 1957 Leo died and Marge continued to make her home in Lawler until moving to New Hampton in 1969 where she has lived since. She was employed at St. Joseph Hospital in the dietary department for many years. Margaret was an excellent seamstress making coats and clothing for her family. She loved babysitting her grandchildren, crossword puzzles, reading, listening to music, the Cubs and spending time with her family.

Margaret is survived by five daughters Ann (Ed) Conway of New Hampton, Ellen (Adrian) Kuennen of Iowa City, Carol (Ron) Griffith of West Des Moines, Linda (Steve) Schaefer of Glendale, AZ and Laura (Dennis) Stolz of Ionia; one son Jeffrey (Sherri) Reihle of Mt. Vernon; 20 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and one sister Eleanor McAllister of Austin, MN.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Leo; five brothers Clifford, Clemens, Victor, Leroy and Vincent Hackman; three sisters Adeline Shinstine, Bernice Mullen and Beatrice Hackman; two grandchildren Julie Conway and Benjamin Stolz and one great grandchild Andrew Gunzenhauser.

Burial will be in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery at Lawler, Iowa with grandsons Matt Schaefer, Tomas Kuennen, Jeremy and Jonathon Stolz, Tim Conway and Matt Brogan serving as casket bearers.

Visitation will be from 4:00PM to 8:00PM on, Friday, June 6, 2008 with a scriptural wake service at 6:00PM at Conway-Kolbet Funeral Home in New Hampton and will continue one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30AM on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Holy Family Parish, St Mary Center in New Hampton with Msgr. Carl Schmitt as celebrant.
