OBITUARY

Mrs. Elmar Cartee

Blanche Alta, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Sherman, was born in Chickasaw county, Iowa, March 2, 1893. She was married to Mr. Elmar Cartee at New Hampton, Iowa, January 29, 1913, and this union was blessed by three children, Edward Elmar, aged 12 years, Vera May, aged 8 years and Evelyn Josephine, aged 6 years.

Mrs. Cartee was taken sick a few weeks ago with pneumonia and passed peacefully away at the Deaconess hospital in Marshalltown Sunday Nov. 28 at 5:30 a.m. aged 33 years, 8 months and 26 days. The body was brought to Maquoketa for burial in Mt. Hope cemetery and funeral services were held at the Buchner chapel with Rev. D. F. Boomershine officiating.
