NEW HAMPTON, IOWA - Charles Francis“Chuck” Boyle, 72, of New Hampton, formerly of Elma, died at home Monday, Jan. 27, 2014.
He was born April 9, 1941, in Elma, son of Charles and Clara Knippling Boyle. He married Barbara Wenig on Sept. 19, 1964, at Immaculate Conception Church, Elma.
He was a 1959 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School, Elma, and had served in the Army National Guard. He farmed the Boyle family farm until his retirement and also was employed at Featherlite Trailer Manufacturing for 12 years as a security guard. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Elma.
Survived by his wife; four sons, Matthew (Diane) of Waterloo, Norbert (Lori) of Ackley, Randy of Norwalk and Brian (JoHanna) of Cottage Grove, Minn.; a daughter, Lisa (Keith) Barnett of Iowa Falls; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Norma Buckley of Elma and Judy (Ron) Hillsman of Waterloo; and a brother, John (Ardel) of Elma.
Preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Eleanor, Bernice, Madonna and Marjorie; and two brothers, Patrick and James.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery, both in Elma. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Conway-Markham Funeral Home, Elma, with a 4:30 p.m. rosary and a 7:30 p.m. scriptural wake service. Visitation also an hour before services Saturday at the funeral home.
