MRS. H. PRIEBE SUCUMBS TO HEART ATTACK

Charles City – Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Grossmann-Hage Funeral Home with burial in Riverside Cemetery for Mrs. Herman Priebe, 70. She died Wednesday noon at the Cedar valley Hospital of a heart attack. Mrs. Priebe had been admitted to the hospital Wednesday morning and was to have undergone surgery Thursday morning.

Born in Chickasaw County on March 27, 1891, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hemker. On October 20, 1909, she was married to Herman Priebe in New Hampton. She was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church and of Rachael Circle.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters; Mrs. William Birkholz, rural Charles City; Mrs. Richard Nelson, Charles City; and Mrs.. Lloyd Sido, Rockford; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren; a brother, Henry Hemker, Junction City, Wisconsin; a half- brother, Fred Schultz, Charles City; and a half- sister; Mrs. Emma Bergman, Waterloo.
