Mary Jane (Gregory) Clark – March 15, 1871 – November 10, 1942
COMMITTAL SERVICES TO BE HELD FOR MRS. CLARK
Charles City – Committal services for Mrs. Sylvanus Clark, formerly of Charles City, will be held at Riverside Cemetery here at 3:30 o’clock Friday afternoon.
Mrs. Clark, 71, died at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at her home in Waterloo, of a heart ailment.The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gregory, she was born Mary Jane Gregory, at New Hampton on March 15, 1871. Her marriage to Sylvanus Clark took place October 12, 1892, at Charles City. He is the son of the late William F. Clark, a former Floyd County Sheriff.
Other survivors besides her husband, are three sons; Harry, Andrew and Leon Clark, all of Waterloo; a daughter; Mrs. Charles Shirley, Waterloo; one brother, Burt Gregory, also of Waterloo; two sisters; Mrs. Julie Towner, Charles City, and Mrs. Leafy Wallbaum, Waterloo.
