Funeral services for Delors Dorothy Erion, age 72, of Alta Vista, Iowa were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 3 at Zion Lutheran Church in Alta Vista with the Rev. Peter Peterson officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery in Alta Vista with arrangements by Conway Funeral Home, Elma, Iowa. Casket bearers were Keith Johnson, Lynn Hopp, Rod Friedrich, Richard Miller, Mike Erickson, and Bruce Popken.

Delors Dorothy, daughter of Fred and Edna (Shuhert) Masemann, was born August 24, 1924 in New Hampton, Iowa. She was a graduate of Alta Vista High School. On April 24, 1947 she and Orlo Erion were married at Zion Lutheran Church. They farmed north of New Hampton before moving to a farm east of Alta Vista where they farmed until retiring. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and its ELCA, VFW Auxiliary and a charter member of Alta Vista Garden Club.

Delors died Monday, March 31, 1997 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota after a short illness. She was preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her husband, Orlo; 1 daughter, Nancy Dominick of Salida, Colorado, 1 son Randy (Karen) Erion of Decorah, Iowa; 2 granddaughters; her mother, Edna Masemann, and 1 brother, Melvin Masemann, both of Alta Vista, Iowa.
