The marriage of Mr. Chas. W. Prochaska and Miss Josephine Schnurr came as a great surprise to their many friends in this city, who were unaware that a nuptial knot was to be tied so soon.
The marriage took place at Davenport. Ia., Thursday morning from the church in St. Alfonso's parish, Rev. Father Schott, officiating. Davenport was chosen through the request of Mrs. Elizabeth Bald, grandmother of the bride, who is so aged that she could not have made the journey to New Hampton to witness the ceremony.
Mrs. Chas. W. Prochaska, who was Miss Josephine Schnurr, has been a resident of New Hampton for many years, being the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Schnurr, Sr. She is a young lady of charming personality and loving disposition, and has made hosts of friends in New Hampton. For several years she was employed in the Herwig grocery acting in the capacity of book keeper. She has the many excellent traits that will make her a good helpmate for the man she has chosen. . .
