George W. Harrison, Jr., son of the late deceased Geo. W. Harrison and Elma Francis Harrison was born in Grand Meadow Township, Cherokee County, Iowa, April 14, 1891, and died June 7, 1907, just six days after the death of his father, at the age of 16 years, 1 month and 24 days.

Georgie was a quiet, studious home loving boy. He was a great reader of good books, and ambitious to obtain a good education. June 4, he was seized with acute appendicitis which resulted in his death three days later.

The funeral services were held in the home. The remains were laid to rest by the side of his father there to rest till the resurrection morn. (Source: Ferrin family scrapbook)
