DEATH OF MRS. BURBANK
Old Time Resident of City Passed Away Saturday MorningMrs. Amelia E. Burbank, wife of Moses F. Burbank, died at the family home in Cherokee on Saturday morning Jan 5, after a brief illness. The family are among the early residents of Cherokee, and the demise of Mrs. Burbank, who was universally esteemed, has brought sorrow to many hearts.
The deceased was born at Lowell Mass., Feb 22, 1850. She leaves her husband, one daughter and three sons to mourn the departure of a devoted wife and other. Her daughter, Mrs. Jos. Ferrin of Tilden Township, and her son, George, of Minneapolis, were at her bedside when the end came. The other sons, Homer and Fred, of Spokane, Wash., were notified, but the end came sooner than anticipated and they could not reach home until this morning.
