Obituary
James Garfield Morgan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence M. Morgan, died at the family home, five miles southwest of Aurelia, last Sunday afternoon, March 24, 1901, at the age of twenty years. He had been a constant sufferer from epilepsy for more than ten years and this was the cause of his death.

The funeral was held on Tuesday at Dunkard Church, conducted by Rev. Jesse U. R. Wolf of Mount Olive Baptist Church, and the remains were laid away in the Aurelia cemetery. (Source: The Cherokee Weekly Times, Apr 4, 1901, pg. 5)
