Memorial services for Karl J. Brugman, Jr., of Aurelia were held Tuesday, March 6 at First Congregational Church in Aurelia with Lay Pastor Bruce Rapp and Dr. Floyd Pace officiating
Mr. Brugman passed away Saturday, March 3, 2001 at the Fonda Nursing Home and Rehab Center in Fonda.
The Redig Funeral Home in Aurelia was in charge of arrangements
A memorial fund has been established
Karl John Jr., was born February 11, 1933 in Hartley, the son of Karl John and Eva (Olhausen) Brugman, Sr. He attended school and graduated from Sioux Rapids High School.
He then served in the United States Army from January 6, 1955 until May 18, 1956
On November 23, 1958 he was united in marriage to Marcalyn Bell at the Congregational Church in Aurelia.
Mr. Brugman was employed at Lundell Manufacturing and Simonsen Manufacturing where he worked as a welder
He was a member of the First Congregational Church in Aurelia where he served on many different boards. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and also camping
Mrs. Brugman was preceded in death by his parents and one brother
He is survived by his wife, Marcy of Aurelia, one son, Kevin Brugman of Storm Lake; three sisters, Donna Scheiber of Spencer, Patricia and Bill Williams of San Jose, California, Connie and Ben Segland of Boulder, Colorado, five brothers, Darrell and Marilyn Brugman of Spencer, Wayne and Elizabeth Brugman of Sun City, Arizona, Keith and Janice Brugman of Hawkeye, Ronald and Sheila Brugman of Mesa, Arizona and Terry Brugman of Dubuque, one sister in law, Beverly Brugman of Phoenix, Arizona, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
