Glen L. Miler, 69, of Cherokee, died Thursday, November 2, 2000, in the Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital due to an apparent heart attack.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 6 from the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Cherokee.

Glen was born September 24, 1931, in Cherokee, Iowa to Roy and Josephine (Nelson) Miler. He attended Cherokee Schools. He served in the United States Army from 1952 until 1955 during the Korean War. He owned and operated Miler Auto Salvage north of Cherokee for many years. He had lived in the Cherokee area all his life.

He is survived by two nephews: Ronald Miler of Windsor Mill, Maryland; Morris Miler and his wife Shelly of Milford, Iowa, 3 great nephews, 4 great nieces and 3 great great nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ronald Miler in 1947 and a brother Floyd Miler in 1992.
