Mrs. Ronald (Elizabeth) Johnson, 69, of Cherokee, Iowa passed away Monday, September 21st at 10:15 p.m. in the Marian Health Center in Sioux City, Iowa following a short illness.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 25th at 10 a.m. from the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee. Mr. Gregg Johnson will officiate, and burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Cherokee. There will be a family prayer service at 9:45 a.m. at the funeral home on Friday. Visitation will be Thursday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home.

She was born on October 13, 1928, at Cherokee, Iowa to Emmett & Bonnie Ellen (Stone) Lyman. She was married to Ronald L. Johnson on May 6, 1977, at Cherokee, Iowa. She had been a resident of the Cherokee area most of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter Haley Rudisill, one sister Rosemary Cates and a brother William Lyman.

She is survived by her husband Ronald and 2 sons: Denllis “Trapper” Rudisill of Cherokee, Iowa; Daniel Jones of Cherokee, Iowa; 3 step-children: Kathy Gaa of Cherokee, Iowa; Timm Johnson and his wife Sue of Seminole, Florida; Ted Johnson and his wife Tammy of Breezewood, Pennsylvania; 5 grandchildren; Jamie Jones and his wife Cindy of Park Rapids, Minnesota; Christy Jones of Park Rapids, Minnesota; Alex, Nicole and Samantha Jones of Akeley, Minnesota; 2 great grandchildren: Taylor Rae Jones and Laine Roger Jensen of Park Rapids, Minnesota.
