Betty (Williams) Hinrichsen, 64, of El Cajon, California, passed away Monday evening, March 30, 1998 in San Diego, California following a lengthy illness.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 8, at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Hartley, Iowa with Pastor James Steen officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa.

Mrs. Hinrichsen was born on May 24, 1933 at Primghar, Iowa to Delbert and Irene (Kriens) Williams. She grew up in O’Brien and Cherokee counties. She attended Cherokee schools with the class of 1953 for a number of years before her family moved to California. In 1954 she married Bob Hinrichsen. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in San Diego, California.

Survivors include two daughters and two sons: Toni and her husband, John Rife, San Diego, California; Cody Hinrichsen and his wife, Crickett, Stockton, California; Brock Hinrichsen, Sacramento, California; and Lynnette Hinrichsen, San Diego, California; six grandchildren; a brother, John “Jack” Williams, Spirit Lake, Iowa; two sisters: Bonnie and her husband Maury Longfellow, Newhall, Iowa; and Beverlee and her husband, Jim Bignell, LaJolla, California.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and four brothers: Junior, Maynard, Jerry and Jim
