Dolowa E. Wilson, 68, of Cherokee died Sunday, Nov. 14, 1999, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Funeral Home in Cherokee, with Gregg Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to o p.m. today with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a Order of the Eastern Star service at 7 p.m. said by Carnation Chapter 165, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wilson was born April 5, 1931 in Des Moines, the daughter of Lowell George "Bill" and Dorothy (Love) Will brandt.

She attended schools in Cherokee and graduated from Wilson High School in 1949. She attended Buena Vista College and the University of South Dakota.

She married Merlin "Ben" Wilson on Nov 6, 1955 in Cherokee.

She was employed as a legal secretary for 25 years with McDonald, Sayre and Wittgraf Law Firm and retired in 1994.

She was a past worthy matron of the Carnation Chapter 165, Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband; a son and his wife, Con Alan and Karol of Englewood, Colo.; a daughter, Thomine Sue Wilson of San Diego, Calif.; a granddaughter, Alexandria Wilson; her father of Cherokee; a sister, Joan Hollister of San Jose, Calif.; a half brother, Terry Willbrandt of Cherokee; and a half sister, Donna Jean of Tuscon, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her mother and stepmother, Lois Willbrandt.
