DEATH OF A PIONEER
Jacob Foust Passes Away at Ft. Dodge
From our Aurelia Correspondent
Jacob Foust, an old settler of this county, died at Ft. Dodge last Saturday very suddenly of dropsy.
Mr. Foust was one of our early settlers. He lived about four miles southwest of town for about 23 years. A few years ago, he sold out and moved to Pocahontas county where he was living at the time of his death, but was visiting with a sister at Ft. Dodge.
Mr. Foust was well and widely known and his death was a great surprise to his old friends here. His family accompanied his remains here on the 5 o'clock train Monday evening and the funeral was held at the Dunkard church at 10 A.M. Tuesday. He leaves two brothers, W. P. and Henry and a sister, Mrs. A. Campbell, all of this county.
