Well Known Pioneer Woman Succumbs After Lingering Illness

Mrs. Alonzo Lawrey, Sr. one of the best known pioneet settlers of Cherokee county, having lived here forty years, passed away this morning at 7:30 after lingering illness.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at the Methodist church at 2 o'clock. An obituary of this highly esteemed lady's life will be given in the next issue.
